Fire Chief Jamie Adams has a experienced, broad background within emergency services, serving first as a Police Officer within the Dutch City of Rotterdam, before retiring and becoming a Volunteer Firefighter, where he was born. Raised on the outskirts of Rotterdam, he always had a liking towards the Fire Department out of all emergency services that there were. Serving first as a Volunteer Firefighter in Safety Area-Rotterdam Rijnmond in the Netherlands, he learned what it meant to be a Firefighter. Learning the basics, and his ambitions grew from then on. As he learned, he became very interested in how things worked, why they worked, and the importance of emergency response, and the thrill of saving another life.
While living in the Netherlands, he founded a small tobacco shop before giving ownership of it to his family, to assist with the money situation, and to give his aging parents that were retired, an activity to do that they enjoyed. When he turned 20, he moved to California, settling down in Lakeview City, where he then applied for the Lakeview City Fire Department, quickly climbing up the ranks with his experience, leadership, and teamworking skills, he proved himself capable. He first became the Assistant Chief, then the department underwent a couple of changes, where he was then instated as the Fire Chief, serving from February 3rd, 2026 onward.
His leadership emphasizes fairness, teamwork, leadership, confidence, and cooperation. Always ready to step in to ensure that same fairness, and to keep the public trust in the Department.
